North Brookfield Conservation Commission approves wetland delineation for Oakham Road project. The commission, chaired by Christine Morrison and including John Turner, Brandon Avery, and Erin Lynch, unanimously approved the Abbreviated Notice of Resource Area Delineation for 91 Oakham Road, clearing a project 600 feet from protected wetlands flagged by Goddard Ecological Consulting. The hearing remains open through August 14 for Planning Board input on erosion control.

Separately, the commission closed the hearing for 56 Old East Brookfield Road pending Orders of Conditions, requiring the applicant to fund outside oversight of habitat replication work. The Highway Department's remediation of a deteriorating Downey Road drainage pipe triggered a state enforcement action from the Massachusetts DEP.
