North Brookfield Approves 29 Budget Transfers Totaling $778,000

North Brookfield approves $778k in budget transfers at special town meeting. The town's registered voters unanimously approved 29 budget transfer articles totaling approximately $778,000 from Free Cash and other accounts. Major capital appropriations included $128,417.30 for a new Highway Department F550 dump truck and $70,000 for a police cruiser, with additional funding for police computers and Fire Department equipment.

The Sewer and Water departments received combined transfers exceeding $120,000 from salary and retained earnings accounts for operational needs and system improvements. The town also transferred $400,000 to Capital and General Stabilization reserves from Free Cash.
