North Brookfield approves $11,329 in fire and police repairs

North Brookfield Finance Committee approves $11K in department repairs. The committee voted to fund $4,594.41 in fire department Rescue#1 repairs and $6,735 in police heating system repairs. Deputy Chief Bessette outlined fire department capital needs including software upgrades, new turnout gear, and compliance with federal PFAS-free requirements by 2030.

Police stressed the need for at least one new cruiser and four replacement computers due to staffing shortages and obsolete equipment. The fiscal 2027 budget can grow by only $301,252 over the prior year.
