NORTH BROOKFIELD — Finance Committee unanimously approves police computer, weighs state help for staffing crisis. Chair Joseph Trentacosta and Co-chair Chester Lubelczyk led the 4-0 vote to support Police Chief Daley's request for a new device, one of four the department sought. Co-chair Lubelczyk asked whether State Police could ease local staffing and overtime pressures; Chief Daley responded that state availability is limited, with only three troopers on the late shift.
The Fire Department's ladder truck repair and inspection came in under the estimated ten thousand dollars. Trentacosta planned to meet with the Board of Health chairman on the board's budget.
