NORTH BROOKFIELD — Finance Committee approves fire and police capital requests under revenue constraint. Chaired by Joseph Trentacosta, the committee approved $4,594.41 for Rescue No. 1 repairs and $6,735 for police heating system repairs, each by a 5-0 vote. Deputy Chief Bessette presented fire department priorities including protective equipment upgrades for federal PFAS compliance by 2030 and new apparatus building infrastructure.

Police representatives cited staffing shortages driving overtime costs and identified critical needs for one new cruiser and four replacement desktop computers to address obsolete equipment.
