NORTH BROOKFIELD — Capital Improvement Planning Committee advances $98,448 energy project to Finance Committee review. The committee approved a recommendation for Library and Police Station LED upgrades designed by Guardian Group, projected to save $17,558 annually in electric costs; the net capital cost could be reduced to $81,633 if National Grid approves a $16,875 incentive grant. Both projects must be completed by October 31 to qualify for the incentive, a tight timeline the committee noted.
Finance Committee review is scheduled for July 16, with Board of Selectmen consideration July 20.
