NORTH BROOKFIELD — Board of Selectmen reorganizes under new leadership. The North Brookfield Board of Selectmen elected Jamie Gilman as Chair, Ralph Kay as Vice Chair, and Peter Orsi as Clerk in its May 5 reorganization. The board unanimously approved six warrants totaling approximately $962,803 and numerous spending requests for equipment and maintenance totaling nearly $12,000, plus $20,000 in state highway funds to BSC Engineering for Mad Brook Bridge easement plans.

The board also appointed Mary Cormier as Program Assistant at the Senior Center and authorized a Council on Aging grant application for up to $5,000 for a commercial refrigerator. State Representative Donnie Berthiaume honored departing Board member Jason Petraitis for 13 years of service.
