North Brookfield selectmen promote officer, appoint new hire; reshape water billing. Chair Jamie Gilman and Vice Chair Ralph Kay unanimously approved the promotion of Officer Jeffrey Martin to Sergeant and the appointment of Robert Nelson as a full-time police officer, actions presented by Police Chief Ryan Daley. The board also passed a $1,630 Volunteer Fire Capacity Grant for forestry and brush firefighting equipment and approved $1,400 for Highway Department signage at the new facility.
Town Administrator Ron Aponte outlined consolidation of water and sewer billing from biannual to quarterly notices, improving cash flow consistency without additional postage costs.
