Board approves permanent borrowing for Fire and Highway projects

NORTH BROOKFIELD — Board of Selectmen authorizes $5.7 million in capital borrowing and commits to town common revitalization project. Chair Jason Petraitis and selectmen Jamie Gilman and Ralph Kay voted unanimously to adopt Bond Counsel's motion for the sale of bond anticipation notes, with associated costs for arbitration and IRS premiums totaling approximately $1,800. The board approved adding a $12,137 Jaws of Life equipment purchase to the April 17 Special Town Meeting warrant.
The board also committed to a $321,000 Town Common Revitalization Project in partnership with CMRPC, financed entirely through a rural-area grant requiring no local match.
