North Brookfield Board of Selectmen approves landfill solar project and names new COA chair. The Board unanimously approved a request for proposals for solar installation at the town landfill, with Chair Jamie Gilman expressing interest in seeing what bids might emerge. Vice Chair Ralph Kay sought detail on power distribution during the discussion.
The board also appointed Patricia A. Zegarra as Council on Aging chair based on Gilman's assessment of her education and volunteer credentials. Warrant approvals totaled $756,171.70, including payroll of $297,350 and school and general fund spending; the board separately approved $1,597.57 for Highway Department axle seal work.
